Hosted by VIDEA Youth as part of the Longhouse Dialogues.

Walking Together is an Indigenous youth program run by VIDEA under the Global Affairs Canada International Aboriginal Internship Program IAYI. Walking Together is a fun and fully funded education program that will give you the opportunity to travel to Africa! Walking Together helps young Indigenous youth (aged 18-35). Tasha, Janessa and Sierra are three wonderful Indigenous women that just completed VIDEA’s International Aboriginal Youth Internship Program that is funded by Global Affairs Canada. The Internship is a four-month program in Zambia and Uganda; with the focus on three of the Sustainable Development Goals that are Environmental Sustainability, Good Governance and Gender Equality. The session will include what their experiences were while overseas and why Indigenous voices are important in development.
