Stigma. Choice. Change: Women in their diversity speak out
June 4 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pmFree
Join women on the frontline of the HIV response for an intimate dialogue between activists representing marginalised women from Canada, Ukraine, Zimbabwe and beyond.
Women face discrimination daily, but those who are also marginalised due to sexual orientation, gender identity, HIV status, being a young person, drug use or because they sell sex are left even further behind, unable to access services to ensure their wellbeing and safety. This is as true in Vancouver as it is in other parts of the world.
In partnership with researchers from the University of British Columbia and the Simon Fraser University, this event is an open space for experience sharing between women living with HIV and those from indigenous communities, women who use drugs, female sex workers, and transgender women.

Join us to find out more about the similarities – and differences – in women’s lived experiences.
